Friday Lunch
Once again Albacon has lunch available on Friday at the hotel. This is the best option for the attendees of the Writer’s Workshop as going out for lunch can take a bit of time. The lunch is open to anyone, but there is an additional $15 per person cost. While you can wait until Friday morning to pay for and order lunch, we ask that if you know you will be having lunch with us on Friday you pre-order using the form here. The full menu can be downloaded here.
We have to provide the hotel with all of the lunch orders by 10:00 AM on Friday, so if you do wait to order, make sure to stop by Albacon Registration in the hotel lobby before 10:00 AM to get your order in. Unfortunately, we will not be able to add any orders after 10:00 AM.

Drowned City Game
Jim Cambias will be running his new game, Drowned City on Saturday.
Hotel Rooms Still Available
Even though it is past the booking deadline, all is not lost.
As long as the hotel still has rooms available, you can book them at the Albacon rate and part of the block… and they still have rooms available.
Why do I want to be part of the Albacon Block, you ask. There are two main reasons, the first benefits you, the second benefits Albacon. If you are part of the Albacon Block then we can work with the Hotel to insure that special requests are met. Requests like, “Near the elevator“, or ” Close to the Art Show“, or “Right next to the loudest party“. If your room is not part of the Albacon Block there is little we can do to help you. The second reason is that rooms booked as part of the Albacon Block count towards the total number of room nights that we told the hotel would be sold.
So call the Hotel today at (518) 458-1000 and tell them you need to book a room as part of the Albacon Block. If you end up forwarded off to Best Western reservations, just ask to be connected to extension 196 and leave a Voice Mail for Laura. Remember to leave your name, your phone number, and that you want a room for Albacon. She’ll call you back and set you up.
The Saturday Night Extravaganza
Albacon’s world-famous Saturday Night Extravaganza is now set, with three mind-expanding events:
- Charles Gannon Roast
- 100 Years of Dead Magicians
- The Illustrated Eye of Argon
It all starts at 8 PM on Saturday.
