Albacon is famous for its Saturday Night Extravaganza, a series of events to entertain and amuse. This year is no exception, and we’ve put together an excellent show.
- 100 Years of Dead Magicians. A lot of famous stage magicians had interesting final appearances. Join Jim Macdonald as he goes over the times when the illusion became far too real.
- Charles Gannon Roast. One doesn’t become a successful SF author without creating enemies, and we’ve brought them here to roast our Guest of Honor with sarcasm and all the other tricks: dramatic irony, metaphor, bathos, puns, parody, litotes and satire. - The Illustrated Eye of Argon. Famed as the worst epic fantasy story ever written, with the purplest prose ever set to mimeograph, this reading will reach new levels of awfulness as you get to actually see the words on the page. Hildy Silverman, Ian Randal Strock, Michael Ventrella.
