Hotel Update

Even though the deadline for reserving a room has passed, the hotel will continue to honor the Albacon room block and rate as long as they have rooms available. Please reserve a room as soon as possible directly with the hotel (either via the web site or by phone), if you are told there are no rooms available, then contact us via email (hotel @ albacon . org) and we will see what we can do.

Albacon 2005 will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located in downtown Albany, NY. The hotel reservation block closes on September 7, 2005. After this date, neither Albacon nor the hotel can guarantee availability and/or room rates. The Crowne Plaza has Kings (with one large bed) and Doubles (with two twin beds). If you need more room, they also have Parlor Suites. To make reservations call 1-(800)-2-CROWNE or 1-(518)-462-6611 and provide the group code SF5.

The Crowne Plaza Albany-City Center is in the heart of downtown Albany. It is convenient to the State Capital, Empire State Plaza, State Museum, and many other historic sites. The Crowne Plaza provides complimentary transportation to and from the Albany Airport, Albany / Rensselaer Amtrak station, and the Albany Bus Depot. They also provide complimentary parking for all convention attendees whether or not you stay at the hotel.
